Review Culture and Why my Policies are in Place

Hi all,

I thought I would write about why my review policies are in place. People seem to be questioning my (and, by default, other SPs') policies recently and I thought it would be nice if I made it very clear.

I am not averse to getting reviews. Indeed, reviews have been on my mind a bit, since I got a very lovely review yesterday (it's up now). The problem, if one can call it that, is that my clients generally don't come from the review boards - they come from Twitter, and I interact with them before meeting them, so they get a general read on my character and I on theirs.

It's lovely when someone posts a review on a review board, but because I like to be in complete control over my own content, clients tend to contact me before posting anything. I like to have my reviews on my site because everything else is on my site - and generally, people come here to contact me anyways. If they haven't read my site, only then do they ask silly questions like "What are her reviews?" Do the assigned reading, boys. I assume you read our rates? Take a moment to read our reviews, too.

I also dislike the manner in which people rate other people online. Sites like The Erotic Review (TER) or Toronto Erotic Review Board (TERB) are just not classy in their reviews. Some sites, like the The Erotic Review, even ask for details which are a) very graphic or b) may not have happened at all. As a result, it becomes more like a racket and less like a genuine sounding-board for sharing how awesome the companionship of the ladies is. I have as yet no problem with the Canadian Escort Review Forum (CAERF); however some people, everywhere, either a) think no public reviews means an SP is bad or b) can't possibly understand why anyone would have such a policy. The answer to both questions, in order, is a) read the website and b) because I say so.

Respectful clients will always come through for me, and I know there are other SPs out there who have a similar or no-review policy. In defence of all SPs doing what they like, I encourage you to read our sites, and not go to the nearest review board, if you truly want quality over quantity.

SP solidarity - if customers want to be part of it - means reading an SP's website back to front. If you like what you see, great. If you don't, move on. But read all of it, please, for the sake of our sanity. If you don't care enough to read my site, I personally don't care enough to meet you.

Xoxo,

Olivia
